Dine & Dash at Senpai - Great Filipino and Local Choices
Hawaii Diner Staff & The Ozawa Family
March 2006

This spot has been here for a few years but has been owned and managed by Virginia Angeles for just a year. She prepares Filipino dishes offering several choices for the hungry diner including daily specials. The Pork Adobo was some of the best I've had - very tender, moist and meaty. The gravy was perfectly balanced as well without too much vinegar as sometimes happens. This is the smallest eatery here but the food packs a big flavor punch. Highly recommended. Building owner, Jim Steiner, recommends the Pinkabet describing it as "delicious." Another plus is the choice of mini-plates which offer just the right portion size for those of us who don't want to fall alseep mid-morning or mid-afternoon!

Pork Adobo mini-plate offers tasty adobo with rice and mac in a manageable portion

Senpai is the tiniest spot at Remington College but the flavors are bold and bright - just like the sign

The food choices on the hot line vary from day to day but you won't be disappointed as the quality is always good
